 T1 is offered by many suppliers, but, of course, the final link is the
 phone company copper link to
 you. Up and down speed is the same, 1.5.  The service is "guaranteed" to
 meet specs by the supplier.  Range from the central office can be
 greater than DSL, since the lines are conditioned
 and repeaters are used in-line if necessary
