Harry,

In your CONFIG.SYS file is a CALL= which specifies
x:\MPTN\BIN\MPTSTART.CMD

In your MPTSTART.CMD file is a CALL x:\MPTN\BIN\SETUP.CMD

In your SETUP.CMD file are two lines for DHCPSTRT and IFCONFIG

Which of the following do you have in your SETUP.CMD?

    dhcpstrt -i lan0
    ifconfig lo 127.0.0.1

    -or-

    ifconfig lo 127.0.0.1
    dhcpstrt -i lan0

The second one doesn't work because dhcpstrt.exe resets the ifconfig
setting. Use the first one. This sequence error is a bug (unless it's
finally been fixed) in the TCP/IP notebook which rewrites the file when
you use the notebook to make changes.
