Interesting Files on the BBS

AMOS 3.10

AMOS is a unique application that provides access to HPFS drives from real DOS. In previous versions this access was provided through a series of commands via an AMOS command line. But now, with version 3.x AMOS is loaded as a TSR so that your HPFS drives appear as drive letters to all of your DOS and Windows programs running under real DOS.

Having access to HPFS drives under real DOS is useful for situations where your machine may be unbootable because of a mistake in CONFIG.SYS, scanning for Viruses, or simply reading data while in real DOS.

What's the catch? When the author made AMOS a TSR he was only able to implement read-only capability. He is in the process of adding write capabilities, but if you need that feature today, you might also want to look at a previous version. With the ingenuity that the AMOS development team has shown in the past, I'm confident that write capabilities are not far off.

Listed here is the BBS AMOS file and other files that you might find interesting or useful.
