Southern California OS/2 User Group

Carries IRC Channel For The Folks Back Home

Reprints, logo shirts and a CD-ROM

by Peter Skye

W
ARPSTOCK --- The Southern California OS/2 User Group (SCOUG) had a dominating presence in the large hall where all vendor tables were located.  Terry Warren, SCOUG's President, manned the table with help from Steve and Melanie Schiffman and Lynn Maxson.

SCOUG had a unique angle on this year's Warpstock:  They carried an IRC channel dedicated to the event, with constant conversations traveling around the world about the goings-on of the confab.

Free reprints of their monthly OS/2 For You publication were also handed out to all comers along with summary reprints of past interviews and a multi-page review of OS/2 web sites from columnist Webfoot, The Duck.

SCOUG also offered a CD-ROM containing the contents of their entire web site, sold SCOUG sweatshirts and t-shirts, and signed up a number of new members.
