There's a first time for most things. :-)

Not dead. Just stopped. :-)
Use the g command to continue execution.
Attached is my kernel debugger cheat sheet.
Grab a copy of the OS/2 Debugging Handbook (i.e. sg244640.inf). It's
installed with the Warp4 Toolkit, so if you need a copy look in
\TOOLKIT\OS2TK45\BOOK on eCS 1.2 CD#2.
You'll need a basic understanding of the g, p, t, b and d commands.
>How can I now figure out why the CueCat does not work via USB?
You will have to debug the problem. :-) But, first things first. It
appears you have a working kernel debug setup.
For my notes, what COM port are you connecting to and did you create a
kdb.ini?
Find a copy of usbkbd.sym and install it in \os2\boot, if you don't
already have one there. Let me know the date and size of the usbkbd.sym
you use.
What you will need to do is set a breakpoint in the KBDserv and plug in
the CueCat. Then you will step though the code until it decides it does
not know what the CueCat is and returns to the caller. At this point, we
will figure out what to do next.
The standard USB keyboard driver may be be verbose enough for our
purposes. If so, I'll build a debug version and send it your way.
It might be useful if you get set up to give me remote access to your host
system. This would allow me to run the kernel debugger from here.
To do this, you need to install pmvnc and stunnel, which we just so
happened to be the topic of the November meeting. Pmvnc provides a remote
desktop. Stunnel provide secure access. A dyndns account is handy too.
