My ISP and DSL provider (in name only) is earthlink.  I send mail via earthlink's mail server and they pass it on to the final destination.  The
 headers show scoug.com because the mailing list is hosted on the scoug
 server.  The mailing list software sent the message to you and all the
 other recipients.  I sent the message to the mailing list.
 
 
The mailing list software uses the scoug mail server to send the messages. 
 
The scoug mail server communicates with other mail servers (rr's in your case) to deliver mail addressed to clients served by these other mail
 servers.
