I am using my laptop while on the road, and I have been using Seamonkey
1.1.1 both for browser and for mail.

I decided to upgrade to Seamonkey 1.1.4, and like all previous upgrades,
I merely unzipped the new files over the old files. My Config.sys file
has the entry:

Set Mozilla_Home=X:\home\default

My upgrade this time broke my system. I can start Seamonkey, but my
bookmarks are gone, and when I start the Mail program, my profile is gone.

I tried editing the profile by pointing it to the \Home\Default
subdirectory but I still cannot connect with my popmail server. I can
check email by using the browser and going directly to the ISP's popmail
service, but I can't get Seamonkey Mail to do it for me.

When I get home I will restore Seamonkey 1.1.1 from a backup and start
over. In the meantime, is there some tweak to the mail program that I
can try?

When I try the upgrade again, is there a better way to do it?

(At the moment I am using the Windows version of Mozilla under Windows XP).

Thanks,
Sandy
