You probably got garbage. The files are binary, and you got an ascii   
version of that. Useless. To download a binary file, RIGHT click on the   
link, left click on "Save link target as", then navigate in the file   
save dialog to the directory where you want the file to go. Click the OK   
button and it will download in binary.
