I can now create and send to print a file created in Quark running on
Win-eCS. However the file sits in the OS/2 spooler until I unload
Win-eCS. I'd like to solve this problem and solicit ideas.

If this is not the way Win-eCS is supposed to work, then my problem may
be a local configuration issue.

As installed, I have an HP350 fax/printer/scanner on Win-eCS which always
listens on the parallel port; when I insert a page in the 350, a window
pops up in Win-eCS (if loaded). I am guessing that something is seen
by OS/2 as seizing and holding the parallel port.

The oddity is that I exit this program before I load Quark, but it may
still be seen as holding the parallel port.

I'd appreciate insights into what is happening and what knobs to twiddle/
files to modify to halt this misbehavior
