Yes.  I know you are using Mozilla as your mail client.

There's tons of shared code under the covers. 
FWIW, that's going to be one of the challenges of making Firebird and 
Thunderbird slimmer in total compared to Mozilla. 
If you get the urge to experiment, I can show you how to use 
iptrace/ipformat to see what's really going on.
