Gary,
I saw your initial post. Since I have Norman 5.x for OS/2 (registered), I
tested your premise.
Prior to Norman 5.6x for OS/2, this antivirus program could not scan email
attachments, IIRC - Norman at the 5.6 level which is very recent (days
old) can now scan email attachments.
To the best of my knowledge, no OS/2 antivirus program by itself can scan
your email on-the-fly, ie as the email comes into to your intranet; the
antivirus program for the client must be enabled, say via REXX, though the
email client or the individual's mail server (we are not talking about the
ISPs mail server).
I will have more to say later, but I may have found a bug/buglet - need to
do more testing; I was not looking for bus; again just testing your
premise! I am using Norman antivirus 5.6x for OS/2, ZxMail Server 1.2.15,
and MR/2 ICE 2.37.
Of course these tests have been tested on my intranet, not the internet.
Regards.
Larry
