Easiest solution should be to make D: FAT.  Everybody likes FAT.

The solution wanted is on single system with each an OS,   
either XP in the first, and preferably used, OS/2 MCP 4.52   
in a second primary C: partition.   
 
These OS'es shall share the D: partition !!!  
 
So this shared D: needs to be either HPFS and acessable from XP   
or it has to be NTFS and has to be accessable from OS/2 !!  
 
Generally the environment is OS/2 minded only ...  
... WINdozes and other OS'es are used temporarily or for test   
purposes only !
