Looks like it may indeed be a Winmodem... http://www.netodragon.com/  
What do you think, Steven? I did get it operating with the fax program under   
WinXP.   
 
I may have to rethink my need for a modem under OS/2. What should I be   
looking for if I do replace this modem? I only have pci ports (no eide   
ports) on the AMD computer, and I'm already running out of those; my old   
Compuserve email software is looking for a modem to be associated with com1   
 -> com4.
