I see now, after looking it up, that the BEFCMU10 is a dsl modem. Perhaps
it's the rest of us that are trying to configure something that doesn't need
configuring, Ray.

Try running tcpcfg.exe and tell us what information is entered on the
various tabs.... you can just click "discard" when you exit tcpcfg.exe and
no changes will be made to your current setup.

If you're curious about the router settings, you can enter "192,168.1.1" in
the url address field for your browser (where you normally enter "http://
www. etc") and you will get a sign-on screen... enter "admin" for the
sign-on and password, and you'll get a router setup screen from the BEFSX41;
there you enter info about your ISP (IP address, gateway address, dns
servers, etc). I suspect you did do that when you installed the router.
