Thanks for your reply !
Your answer exactly met one of my most important thoughts !!

I also found out that, maybe the sample with 1x512 and 2x256MB was too
simple =

in the focus of the finally desired maximum of RAM !?

The question regarding the choice of 1 x 1GB or 2 x 512MB is similar =

except it discusses a higher amount of MAXIMAL RAM finally !

Personally, just as mentioned from you, I would choose 2 of mmm RAM !

Another reason of my question touches the technical aspects of this
choice !
Are there some recommendations to single or a paired choice ??

From my point of view (although I have a single 512 in my main system) =

is that if you have 2 modules and one goes bad, you can still run. With =

only one module, you're dead. I don't know whether is an advantage to =

having you RAM spread across multiple banks or not.
