Is anyone using the Java Communications API with eCS and Java 1.3.1 to
access COM ports?

I am trying to run jSyncManager from SourceForge to sync with my Palm
Pilot, and the API does NOT see my COM ports. I have been in touch with
Brad Barclay, the author of jSyncManager, and he wrote a small (~2K
bytes) class file that displays the ports reported by the API. It shows
only the LPT1 port on both my systems.

Would anyone be willing to run this on their system and let me know the
result? The file can be downloaded from:

http://www.jsyncmanager.org/porttest.zip

To test, just unzip and run: java ComPortTest (case sensitive!)
It will list the ports reported by the Java Communications API. I am
curious whether anyone gets COM1/2 or whether the API is broken.

Thanks!
