Yes and yes: SERIAL_0 Serial Controller, Serial_1 Serial Controller  
I have also tried it with SIO2K, same story.  
Both com ports work with PMFax and HyperAccess to an Actiontec external   
modem.

Could it be something with the way I have Java set up? Here is what I have:
