I recall being asked by Steve Carter a month back  
about tools for writing HTML.  
He was asking how I wrote it, and I said by hand.  
This probably address the problem of creating  
tables he was concerned with, but I usually  
use the tools documented in this article:

to chop it down to a few minor editing touchups.  
 
Rocky was wanting a method to move files onto  
his old laptop.  
I'd suggested using MS-DOS Kermit,  
you can download it and copy it onto a floppy  
from:  
http://www.columbia.edu/kermit  
or  
http://www.kermit-project.org  
for free, but they do request you buy the book  
to support the work they do.  
Version's for OS/2 are available,  
the best being for a modest cost.  
If you search on at http://groups.google.com  
for posts by Frank da Cruz, sometime back ~2000 A.D.,  
he makes reference to a PPP driver for DOS serial ports  
you might be able to use with this.
