Hello everbody
I do understand that FAT16 is 8.3 convention only !
Long file names are possible with FAT32 and higher WIN OS'es file
systems i.e. NTFS !!

Initially an OS/2 FAT32 file system driver came from Henk Kelder (the
author of WPtools) =

but has gone to Netlabs.ORG !!!

HTH a little bit !?

Regards, svobi

I just tried it--partially. I have WIN32 support on my primary
machine. =

  It has WIN files on FAT16 and FAT32 partitions. OS/2 can read long =

directory and file names on the FAT32 but not the FAT16.

Across the net is a box running W98 and has files on FAT16 only. OS/2 =

from the primary machine cannot read those names. My guess is that if =

the partition was FAT32 they would be readable.

Will cost you one line in config.sys to find out.
IFS=3DE:\OS2\FAT32.IFS /EAS /CACHE:2048
