SCOUG OS/2 For You - July 1997
Photo>Graphics PRO V2.0 for OS/2 Released
TrueSpectra Inc. has just released a professional strength version of Photo>Graphics. It includes many important new features, using an innovative object based design for advanced integration of photographic images, user draw and text layout.
Photo>Graphics PRO V2.0 builds upon the original creative product design with extensive support for additional graphic file formats, TWAIN for OS/2 scanner device drivers and optimized Postscript printing. Included are new features for automation using REXX, new drawing tools, additional image effects, and added support for creation of Web based graphics. The package comes with a royalty-free Image and Clipart library and includes a 5-user OpenDoc version.
Photo>Graphics PRO is built upon TrueSpectra's patent-pending ColorWave Graphics Engine which integrates resolution independent graphic objects with a highly efficient, real-time rendering engine. The result is the ability to create fully scalable professional graphics on existing hardware.
TrueSpectra is working on versions of both the ColorWave engine and the Photo>Graphics application for other platforms including Windows 95, NT, Macintosh, and several UNIX variants.
Photo>Graphics PRO v2.0 has a suggested retail price of $249.95, and is available from OS/2 retailers. Registered owners of earlier versions can upgrade for $99.95 until the end of July.
Competitive upgrade offer: To show their continuing commitment to the power and capabilities of the OS/2 platform, TrueSpectra has a special, limited time, competitive upgrade offer of $99.95 (plus shipping). Acceptable graphics applications include SPG ColorWorks, ImpOS/2, MGI PhotoSuite, CorelDraw, and PhotoShop. Available directly from TrueSpectra through July 31st - contact them for details.
