SCOUG OS/2 For You - February 1997

WaveRunner's ISDN Adapters Are Perfect for OS/2
See Them at the February 15th Meeting

WaveRunner Technologies Corporation offers several ISDN products including the WaveRunner PC Card and PC Board (ISA & MCA) and the 7845 NT1 Plus network terminator. WaveRunner Technologies has a strong commitment to OS/2, so drivers are shipped in the box.

Max Eidswick, President of WaveRunner, will be visiting us on February 15th from Colorado. Max will give us an overview of ISDN, what it is, the benefits it provides and what you need to have in order to get and use it. From there, he'll talk more specifically about the WaveRunner adapters and the 7845 NT1. WaveRunner Technologies acquired IBM's WaveRunner hardware line last year. We'll hear about this transition as well as the company's ongoing relationship with IBM and plans for the future.

General Interest Group - will explore the fascinating world of the OS/2 High Performance File System (HPFS) with the morning's presenter, Max Eidswick who is an expert in the field.

Networking SIG - will discuss messaging technologies across different network protocols and further develop our new server.

Programming SIG - by popular demand, they will definitely discuss Object REXX. SIG leader Terry Warren has promised not to let the group get distracted again this month.

Hungry? For those interested in continuing discussions over lunch, the local Sizzler on Bristol is a relaxing place to finish up on Saturday after the SIGs.
