SCOUG OS/2 For You - September 1996

September Meeting Topic

Sept. 21st: Mesa and More

OS/2 Application Heaven

This will be an action-packed presentation. Sundial Systems has a lot to show for themselves with their Relish time management products, Mesa 2 spreadsheet, and Clearlook word processor. The primary focus at the September meeting will be on Mesa 2.

Like all Sundial products, Mesa 2 was designed from the ground up for OS/2 to really take advantage of the operating system. Features include multi-threading, REXX scripting, Formula Inheritance and SmartFill, and that's just the beginning.

Come see Mesa 2 in action and while you're there, glimpse the future with several of Sundial's upcoming OpenDoc components. Program subject to change at the whim of the audience.

General Interest Group - is still working on last month's topic. They'll be off exploring informative OS/2 resources - such as the SCOUG Web site - on the Internet.

Network - will continue with their Warp Server client-server network including remote network administration.

Programming - may look at a small practical REXX application and how it was developed.

As has become a happy custom, hungry folks will gather for lunch - and more OS/2 discussions - at the local Sizzler after the SIGs. And, on Sept. 23rd at 7 PM, the Internet SIG will return to their project of designing the optimal Web page for the SIG.
