SCOUG OS/2 For You - September 1995
Files on the BBS
WPS Backup 3.0
WPS Backup is a good alternative to the archiving feature built into Warp.
WPS Backup has a number of features to make it worth the extra effort.
First, it generates a single .CMD that you can easily copy onto a floppy
disk or to another computer.
WPS Backup also has the ability to log its actions as well as errors to a
file so that you can review it later. For users who have not upgraded to
OS/2 3.0, WPS Backup works on OS/2 2.1 and OS/2 2.11 too. Perhaps most
important, WPS Backup lets you backup any time - you don't have to reboot
your machine.
If you rarely backup your desktop, WPS Backup will add little value.
However, if you appreciate the flexibility added by WPS Backup, the $15
registration fee is certainly reasonable. The file to download is:
WPSBK30.ZIP
