Carl Tan has the following problem:
I have been trying to chkdsk /f my HPFS partition to no avail. OS/2 warp
4 FP 9 is installed in a FAT partition so boots nicely. D: drive reports
0MB available. Running HPFS view from Graham Utilities Lite 2.0 says
that at least 797MB of the partition was lost.
I really urgently need to recover this because all my mails from MR/2
ICE are in there, and these include all the registration numbers for the
OS/2 and other software I purchased. If you can, please help me.
running chkdsk (I presume it is the latest version from fixpak9) does
not help because I think it crashes. This error message appears:
DOSLOADMODULE error: rc = 191....... MOD=CHKDSK32........
something like that. I do not know of any other way to recover the
partition. If you have any ideas at all, please post to this newsgroup
as I am not able to check mail at this moment in my win95 partition. I
will have to install a mail client first.
Thanks a lot! Merry Christmas!
Carl Tan
