The internet is doing more to bring the world closer together than the telephone and television combined! The OS/2 community is using several key internet communications methods to stay in touch.

This package includes:

a presentation that was used for a discussion at Warp Expo West (click here for website if you're online) on September 18, 1999. It describes a lot of the aspects of internet communications that will help you tune in to the online Warped World.

an introduction to the world of Internet Relay Chat to help you get started.

one of the nicest OS/2 freeware applications, EZ-IRC is also enclosed. Just drag the "ezirc" folder contents to your a folder of your choosing on your disk and run the installer to make a desktop icon. Or simply double click the ezirc.exe program to run directly from the CD.

copies of the compressed distributions for EZIRC and Unzip.

You can find a lot of help for learning these new techniques, and other information by joining the SCOUG Chat and Internet mailing lists at http://www.scoug.com/maillist.html. These mail lists will yield you an occasional email, and provides you a way to send information or questions to a group of Warpheads with similar interests. You can easily leave these lists at any time if you find they aren't what you expected.

Also, you should look at the web site of the premier OS/2 IRC sponsors, VOICE, at http://www.os2voice.org. This is a membership group who provide a lot of information to the entire community on their web site, mailing lists and IRC channels. You don't have to join, but you will get great benefits if you do, including discounts on many great OS/2 products.
